Braille Transcription Services

CLI offers professional Braille transcription, printing, and packaging services for virtually any type of project in Braille, including Braille in non-English languages.

100% of the Braille transcribers we work with are Unified English Braille (UEB) certified and adhere to the rules and guidelines set forth by the Braille Authority of North America (BANA). Our quality assurance process for Braille projects includes:

  • A careful review of your document
  • Transcription of your document into Braille Ready Format (.brf)
  • A thorough QA review to ensure the accuracy of your document 
  • The completion of the Braille embossing 

We will print, package, and ship all Braille projects directly to your desired destination, with as many copies as you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Included in the Final Transcription Deliverable?

The final delivered file includes the transcribed text in the language or languages requested. By default, it does not include the transcribed text from the source language, but this can be included at additional cost if it is a requirement.

Not by default, but this is an option that is supported if clients ask for it. 

We maintain strict security protocols for all transcription projects. Translators and team members sign confidentiality agreements, follow HIPAA guidelines, and use secure file transfer systems. We can also accommodate specific security requirements for sensitive communications.

Pricing is charged by the minute of audio and varies by language and length of call with most common languages ranging from $19–$45 per minute of audio call. We provide a custom quote for each project, since there are several factors that can go into the pricing.
