CLI Recognized for 5th Year on List of Fastest Growing Companies

CLI celebrating award for fastest growing company

For a fifth year now, Certified Languages International appears on Inc. Magazine’s annual list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the U.S. All the companies on this list had to have generated at least $100,000 in revenue by the end of March 2012, and must have seen their revenue grow to at least $2 million by 2015. The magazine ranks these companies by the percentage of revenue growth seen by each during that period. CLI first appeared on Inc.’s list in 2010 and has seen significant growth every year since then.

The language industry is growing rapidly and this year 21 American language service providers appear on Inc. Magazine’s list. The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) reports that the overall global language industry is projected to grow at a rate of 6.5-7.5% annuallythrough 2018.

More than 25 million people in this country consider themselves to speak English less than “very well,” according to U.S Census data. In order to communicate with, do business with, and care for these Limited English Proficient persons, we need interpreters to help us communicate. And on top of facilitating communication here at home, language services are necessary for conducting business in a globalized market.

Certified Languages is one of the largest providers of Over-the-Phone-Interpreting services in the U.S., and as reported in Inc. Magazine, CLI has seen steady revenue increases over the past decade. Part of this growth stems from the large need healthcare providers, government agencies, banks, insurance plans, and retailers have in speaking with America’s LEP population.

But another significant stimulus to the company’s growth comes from the dedication and care we share with our contracted interpreters. We contract with only the most qualified professional interpreters who demonstrate experience and ability in their field. These individuals live in the United States, are familiar with American institutions and business practices, and also understand the needs and backgrounds of the LEP populations whom they help.

As a company, we strive to remain responsive to the needs of our clients. CLI has melded quality interpretation, dedication to customer service, and investment in technology to set itself apart. The steady growth our company has seen over the past decade rests on the consistent and skillful services we provide.
