Empowering Equality in The Workforce: Women Are At The Core of Our Business

Kristin Quinlan, owner and CEO of Certified Languages International, is spending the day at the annual conference of the Astra Women’s Business Alliance. CLI is proud to be a woman-owned business certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), and in thinking about the conference today, we decided to take a look at how that fact has shaped our company.
Under our CEO’s leadership, CLI has hired a diverse group of employees, a majority of whom are women. All in all, 60% of CLI’s employees are women, and women make up 70% of the interpreters with whom CLI contracts.
Both our CEO and Chief Financial Officer are women, and in fact, two thirds of the executives who work at CLI are women.
Women comprise 52% of our administrative staff. The heads of our Communications, HR, and Interpreter Services Departments are women, and women make up 45% of our sales team.
65% of the Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), on whom CLI relies on to connect clients to interpreters, are women.
As a company that strives to support the diverse population of the United States, internal diversity is just as important to us. And as a woman-owned business, we take pride in having fostered a staff that reflects the world we live in.
